trans problem

my trans on my 95 e320 has always been perfect when it came to shifting ect. till about four days ago when i lend it to my brother and hmmm its well not the same the car wont shift out of first unless you hammer it to about 3500rpm and it shifts smoothly if you try holding it it get up to 3000rpm the shift harshly into 2nd then immediate into 3rd. i dont know what has happened i unplugged the battery figuring the ecu would reset and it be back to normal and that failed any ideas?

Hmm.....our trannys don't have learning capabilities, do they? May be too old.....I heard adjusting vacuum lines may adjust that but don't quote me...sorry I couldn't be more help but at least you're not alone, haha.
