Question Am I able to lower my 4Matic

I have a '91 300E 4Matic. I'm quite displeased with the amount of clearance I have with it. I'm riding like an SUV. Can I lower, and if so, what would you suggest?

welcome to the forum. You should do a search in the W124 forum for springs or lowering. A lot should come up since this topic has been discussed a lot. But to help you out you can purcahse H&R, Eibach, or Sportline springs in order to drop your car.

welcome again post often

thanks for the welcome! I was originally on BenzSport.com, but that was taken down due to copyright infractions or something like that. I'm also on BnzSport, but there wasn't a lot of help there, due to the fact that there aren't a LOT of members and I'm the only one (that I know of) with a 4Matic. The little that they told me was that I was at a disadvantage due to the added weight of the 4Matic, and that I would not be able to drop it. This would really suck, seeing as how I'm already ridin' high in the sky on my 15's, if I put on the 17 or 18's that I want, I'll be at SUV height. I'll have to e-mail those companies. Any of them stand out as being better or worse in terms of experience had? Does anyone on this page have a 4Matic?

Tinman,

Have you looked at the front springs? The springs are weird because they have to clear the front shafts for the 4matic. I'm not sur anyone makes springs for our car. I looked into it myself awhile ago.
