Does your M103 temperature sensor have a resitor attached?
I have noticed that my temperature sensor (the one at the rear of the block with the plugs that contributes to the A/F mixture) has a resistor of some type that is plugged into it and creates a type of "bypass". In most of the pictures I have seen it appears that the other engines don't have this resistor - can someone confirm if this is supposed to be there? If anyone has a close up, clear picture of what it is supposed to look like, I would be very grateful. I can take a picture of mine later today and post - but the car is still at home since it's not reliable to drive given it stalls out once warm.
My car is the 1989 300TE with the M103 engine.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If it is the sensor that tells the aux fans to come on, the resister may have been installed to have them come on earlier.
