300e (Cold) Air Intake
Hey all, I'm pretty new here and just recently aquired a 1991 300e. I'm loving the car, but I have a question.
Air intakes:
I've searched and searched the forums and couldn't find anything. I'm pretty sure no one makes an air intake for the 300e, correct?
Is there an air intake system for another benz that can be modified to fit the m103 engine?
Is it possible to build your own intake?
All I want to do is get rid of the air cleaner, which means avoiding drop in filters, and hopefully get a louder engine sound.
Any responses would help, Thanks!

yes it is possible to make an intake on any car.
just head to Canadian Tires or wherever you are and buy a Cone Filter and a tubing and heatshield
and just put it on
very easy
I will get into futher deal when I get mine done.
I'm still trying to sell my car but if I can't find anyone then I will start to mod it.

it's at 171,594KM i think it's divided by 1.66 to change it to Miles.
so about 103,000M
I think..
but to prove my 171,594KMs, heres a pic, i put my name on it so no one steals it to claim it's theirs

I just remembered I have a carborator.
Sep, u got an intake installed? If you don't mind, wanna share what you got running under the hood? :P

No engines mods hehe. yea we do have same year thats why i asked. Im probably gonna do a engine swap eventually. I would like to get the m104 engine. But thats gonna hafta come after body kit.
I never really saw the point of getting a (cold) air intake for my car I didn't think it would improve much. 2phast put an air intake in his car i believe but he took it out. You can do a search for 2 phast and then go to his website.
where did you see my car?

I ventured into some MB website, saw ur name and then it was a photo gallery. Saw a 300e infront of a MANSION

hehe it actualy has door dings here and there one of the doors got a slight dent from when i hit the side of my garage.(not really noticable unless u stare at it)
