300E: How many miles is too much?

Hi-
I'm looking into buying a '91 300E with just under 200k miles. Asking price is $4200.The car is in excellent condition inside and out and drives smoothly. But I'm wondering if this would be too much to pay for a car with so many miles?
Thanks.

Sounds very high unless something is particularly special, IE FULLY renovated, paint, suspension, engine and trans, or some special special history like AMG build.

Seller is unrealistic, call them in 45 days, they will still have this one.

Given the market for these cars, $4K should buy a very nice one. With half those miles. Search here for buyers guide comments...that 200k mile car could cost another $4k by 12-18 months

Nuff said right there ^^

I have a 300E 2.6 with probably ~300000 miles on it. Broken odometer. I don't care about the milage as long as the car keeps taking me wherever I need to go.
