1986 300E
Brake Light Issue
I have a 1986 300E and the brake lights stopped working recently. All other lights work fine.
I have replace all fuses, the brake light bulbs (including the 3rd light), and jumpered the brake switch. All to no avail. I am working my way through cleaning all ground points but so far nothing has made a difference. I have cleaned all but the ones under the dash. At least one good thing - the A/C compressor turns on now. I think it's wore out, but I'll test that later.
I am going to be removing the front wheels to check the brake wear sensors in the next few days. Probably time for some new pads anyway. However, if anyone has any other ideas, please let me know.
