1987 W124 300D Turbo Diesel
W124 2.5 turbo

Hey there, I'm about to be a new owner of one of these cars. That said I want to know of any major common problems that these cars might have?

PS any and all discussion about that car is accepted! thanks

I do not know if these are common occurrences with all W124,2.5 T (diesel), but this is what mine showed.Mileage is approaching 100,000 :radiator seepage on aluminum/plastic interface,A/C refridgerant leak, antennae extend/retract u/s,rpm indicator u/s

RPM indicator failed after braking on engine.Mileage is 98,000.
RPM signal from the alternator reportedly reaches the indicator.
