My factory stereo, (no CD player, just cassette), does not seem to receive AM. You can seek and tune, the stations display on the screen but no sound comes out at all. (Not even static). FM reception is perfectly fine but when you switch to AM, nothing! How is this possible? anyone had this problem?

I guess the radio could be bad, but as I said, everything else works, including the antenna going up. Would rather not replace this unit for an aftermarket so I wonder if there's a fix.
