aftermarket antenna replacement, E420 1995

Seems like everyone just replaces these with the same old antennas which are very good so it's understandable. But I feel like my Benz wouldn't mind having one of the newer short antennas if it was possible to convert the existing setup.

I don't see info about this on the forums here but surely someone must have tried it, no? If so please let me know what you did and maybe post a pic.

also here is a link to one of the two possible replacements i have found, it's a hidden antenna which i think would be nice.. do you guys think this would work?

i have also seen the 13" euro manual antennas but i bet they get beat up in the auto car washes still.

ok guys that internal antenna that i linked works quite well and is very easy to hookup. but now i have a hole where the antenna was, anyone have a link to a nice mercedes antenna hole plug? heheh
