WANTED: 1995 Mercedes E320 Convertible Top Control Module
Hello All,

I am looking for a soft top control module for my 95 w124 cabriolet. The mercedes part number is 1248205826 I believe also the w129 module might be similiar.

check you number. I know of 124 820 40 26 & 45 26, but not 58 26
I have a 40 26 available.

I am sure that is the correct number. I just wanted to make sure I have the right module for the top. This module was located under the rear seat cushion in the middle and has a 16 pin connector.

The top module is part# 124-820-40-26 UP TO B993871
and 124-820-45-26 from B993872.

The 124-820-58-26 is the module for the rear roll bar.

That makes sense the roll bar module would be under the rear seat. I removed the module and it makes a clanging sound like there is some loose change in the box. I removed the cover and found a component on the circuit board makes a sound like something is loose in side the component. The component is a beige/white clyindrical part soldered to the board. It has a Bosch logo stamped on it with a number bearing 2287328601. Also could someone please tell me the location of the soft top control module. Thanks for everyones help. I really like this car a lot.

Its under the rear seat on the right side.

Thanks for that info: I just looked under rear seat to the right and realized there is no top module. I was saw three cables that had absolutely nothing plugged in. One of the cables looked like an ECU cable end. Could someone please tell me what computers or controll modules should be under the rear on the right side. Thanks.

Your top controller will cost over $2k, you might want to ask the PO what happened to it.
