if anybody wants to change their cluster, i can direct you and help you do it,
learned a lot of things and from this but i spent at least 600 dollars in all kins offaces and plasma colors till i got to this. i honestly think i't was worth it.

I will! If you don't mind, I have in my thread (Possible Modifications to 1991 300ce) a post relating to the MoMan plasma gauges. I ask for people's year/model info and shots of their clusters.
If you would, please add your info. He has not gotten back to me yet but I do believe it should be a short while before we have US spec plasma gauges.

it is verry easy , 70 or 80 bucs for the plasma faces,
and then the hard part comes,
take out the cluster instrument, not that hard, rather easy if u know what you are doing, the hardest problem i had was to conect the power to the plasma, because it comes with a relay and you have to conect it to a power source,
it is easyer to instal a secound button, but what i did, i opened up the dash, opend the light switch , wich has about 20 wiers, and i conected straight form there. so when i'm turning the hed lights it turns on ,
what i did, wasn't careful with the wiers, and it is a big round thing that holds each wire individually, so all of them came out, and did't know wich one goes were. but went ot a junk yard , found a 320 e got that asambley obened it carefully and i aranged it back. so for me that was my bigest problem.

Geosss is correct. MoMan is the seller on ebay, the information I've been giving you guys is from our private email correspondence. As I mentioned, I approached him a number of months ago asking for US-Spec MPH gauges but he was not interested because demand was so low.
Now however, I believe we have at least a few users who would be interested. Lets make this worth his while, yeah?

MoMan has white and green and 2 shades of blue to choose from. I'd prefer an amber like we have now, but white is a close second.

ive tried them all, had the funky blue color, , but that doesnt look like a mercedes color,
so white i think is the best color, and waht i did i changed the bulbs in all the buttons(almoust) in white as well, still looking for some small ones to fit into the window switches

Looks Great Man More Info Please
Hey Geoss that looks good.
Did you ever take shots of the other colors by the way ?
I was leaning towards changing to white with blue plasma but sseeing the dash is dark coloured and the cluster essentially 'black' I guess the dark background seems to fit in better. I have seen a few on ebay such as
![what do you think about my cluster?-w124tacho3.jpg](https://mbworld.org/forums/attachments/e-class-w124/205074d1542231832t-what-do-you-think-about-my-cluster-w124tacho3.jpg)
http://cgi.ebay.de/Plasma-Tacho-TACH...#ht_2487wt_929
by some seller named wurmcut which look okay.
But I also found some from xtuners at
![what do you think about my cluster?-w124tachoxtuners.jpg](https://mbworld.org/forums/attachments/e-class-w124/205075d1542231832t-what-do-you-think-about-my-cluster-w124tachoxtuners.jpg)
http://www.xtuners.com/catalog/produ...-240-kmh-p-388 also.
There is an aspect to them that may not suit, e.g economy guage on the ebay one which would seem to say it is not from an 88-89 w124 and the xtuners concern is whether the gauges mount the same way between left and right hand drive vehicles (mine being right drive). Anyone got any thoughts on that ?
Incidentally your radio setup wasn't very clear - what have you got in there ?
Cheers

How did you stop plasma light bleding over entire panel area
Hey Geoss
I finally own my CE300 as you may have seen from my recent thread.
I have come back to your cluster thread though as it appears to me that the existing lighting of the cluster illuminates the entire area rather than backlighting the dials. I assume your's did as well before the mod. If this is the case how does the plasma replacement work in this area as it doesn't seem to bleed into the cluster area anywhere near the amount the standard bulbs do. Did you remove the standard illumination (2 bulbs top left/right of the cluster) ?
Cheers

I had the bulbs removed but now I have some white ones . You can look on eBay for moman's cluster. They come all three faces wired and it self iluminates so u don't need any exterior bulbs . It has an switch button included . So all u have to do is take out the cluster open it remove the needleindicators and stick it to the original ones. Get power to it and you are ready to roll. If u want to go the hard way ( have it on when you turn the lights only ) like I did let me know when u get it and I'll tell u how I did it. Good luck
