300E IAC location?
Can anyone tell me where the IAC is located in the vehicle? I've seen several posts explaining how to clean or replace, but not where it is located in the engine compartment.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok. Found out since I have the M104 engine, I do not have a IAC. I have an electronic throttle actuator instead. I cleaned the MAF sensor and intake air temp sensor, but still experiencing sporadic rough idle.

IAC = Idle Air Control. N/A to the M104

Not sure if your year is affected, but check the upper engine wiring harness. Bosch developed a "wonderful" biodegradable insulation that didn't wait until the car was in the bone yard to degrade. The flaky insulation can cause all kinds issues including rough idle (the primary wiring to the ignition coils seems to deteriorate significantly due to the heat right on top of the cylinder head). The wiring to the electronic throttle can also deteriorate causing even more fun problems.
Check your engine mounts as well. I had a rough idle too and was told to replace them. Sure enough, roughness gone. They are fluid filled as do an amazing job of dampening engine vibrations. If (when) the fluid leaks out, things get rough.
Hope this helps,
