CHOICES..CHOICES...CHOICES!!...Which one would you buy?
Need a car to use Daily and occaisonaly carry the 3 young crumb snatchers.
Only do about 8500 miles a year.
1. 1994 E320 Wagon...125K miles...no service history...$5000
Check engine light on...seller doesnt know why.
2. 1998 E320 Wagon...150K miles...decent MB service history...$6500
Usual Pixel problem with dash and climate control display.
3. 1995 E300D...135K miles...some MB history ...$8000
Reliability more important than anything else.
Cheers, Peter

If you are looking for the best reliability, im pretty sure the diesel ones are the most reliable.
I would personall rule out #1 1994 e320 wagon, just because it has no service history what so ever, unless you like it much much better than the other 2 for some reason. If that is the case, get a mechanic that specialized in older Mercedes to come check it out for you.
To sum it up, if i were looking for reliability..I would:
1) Make sure it has a good service history
2) Have a mechanic come check it out before buying it
3) Choose one with decently low miles.
4) Probably pick a diesel (i think they are more reliable) Might want to make sure other forum users agree with this, because im not 100% sure.
From the 3 cars you posted, i personally think the Diesel would be the best choice for reliability, although it is the most expensive.
It has some Service history (better than none), it has pretty low miles for a '95, and i think diesels are the most reliable.
