Yes ofcourse i checked my tires and everything before pulling up to speeds like that. I have new tires, they are 8" wide compared to the 6.5" stock, so that helps a little.
They are decent tires, 'A' rated for traction, i think 'AA' is the best, so im just right behind.

As for speed rating, they are not so safe haha. They are 'H' speed rated, which are tested safe up to 130 MPH.
At 115+ my car started shaking a little bit, which i am sure is due to the tires.
They are pretty sporty looking tires, which is why i got them. My dad didnt want to throw down $250 per tire for 'Y' or 'Z' rated tires. =(

And neandrathal, when i hit 120mph both times, there was NO ONE else on the road, other than the person i was racing.
And unlike you, i did it on a one way road, decently well lit, and it was 4 lanes wide.

Anyways since you decided to bring this back up...Ive got a quick question for anyone

When i hit 120, my car was shaking a little bit, is this because of my tires? Or what would be causing this?
Tires are 'H' rated, tested to 130MPH, and i have 'A' rated traction, 'AA' is the best.

And i thought a 300E 2.8L could do 0-200 KPH (124 MPH) in about 35 seconds?
The last time i hit 120ish, it took me atleast 25 seconds to go about 85-120

So, what is the true 0-200 kph time for a 300e 2.8L?

You don't get it do you.

I was on a deserted road. With no one else on the road. Literally.

You had another car on that road. That doubles your chance for misadventure.

So your tires are wider. You do realise that that means there is a higher chance of running over debris, right?

Do you know HOW the treadwear, traction and temperature ratings are derived?

And you're confessing that you are hooning (what else do we want to call it) on someone else's dime?

You remain, our little village idiot....

Neanderthal, you're wasting your time. He won't be changing tires anyway - no money, less common sense!

If one were to follow all his posts, and who would bother, he talks about driving 100+ mph regularly and then he'll say whatever for approval.

Kid, which village in Texas are you from? We'll stay off those roads!

I once read in a car magazine:

Q. What is the definition of a teenage driver?

A. "150 ibs. of insecurity behind 2 tons of hurtling Detroit Iron"

My apologies to the responsible learner drivers out there.
