I have stock springs and Sachs OEM Shocks. I just cut 1 coil off the front and 1.5 off the back (I need .5 more all around I think). As for the fogs they are custom, and I got them off ebay.de .

are those the frabus rims you were talking about a while back, with brabus lookalike centre caps? in regards to cutting springs...its so cheap to buy h&r springs in the us compared to aus, i think you should go towards that approach for a much safer and better handling ride

Enzo, my Benzo
The previous owner of my W124 had cut the factory springs and the ride was ATROCIOUS. Lowered looks cool but shiatty handling FTL. Get real springs and you will know what I am talking about.

when i installed my h&r springs i had a guy interested in buying my stock springs which had over 200ks on it, but he was happy to grab them..i understood why when he rolled up my driveway, he had stock wheels with a slightly larger profile and it looked very unpleasantly low he had major rubbing issues, and his front bumper had numerous cracks haha, thats just from cut coils, well the point is garfunkle you may regret doing that or maybe not.

With all due respect, I know what I am doing because my springs have been cut for about two weeks with no rubs or "cracking". I have springs, I just need new shocks before I put them on to prevent premature wear. BTW, what are the dimesions of your wheels and offset?

I don't know if it is the fender trim or what but it looks like the wheels sit deeper in the fender well than mine. I am also going to to do the fender trim, but I am going to get it molded to the fender and painted to match the car. I just want to still have the same look I have now. Mine look nearly flush with all four fenders (a little more in at the front). Any ideas why yours appears deeper?
