1994 e320 wagon
New to the Forum with a suspension question.

So I recently got a 1994 320 wagon to knock around with and it has now grown on me. It has 178,xxx on the clock and the only problem I have had was a polution pump that seized up which I removed, until last week.
It now rides like a Formula 1 car. From what I have read here its the accumulators. My question is this, do I need to replace them or can I replace the shock assembly with a conventional setup?

Thank you for any help in advance.

I had this with a W123 280TE and the accumulators were replaced. All was then well. I've heard about people removing the SLS and installing conventional dampers but I don't think I'd like to fiddle with a good, original system like this.
