Don't think I can leave the 124 scene..
So you guys know I crashed my car.. I've been having like car withdrawl.. I don't think i can get another 300e because mine fees like an incomplete project, it feels like a girlfriend, shes unreplacable.. well i looked around craigslist and stuff.. i can't seem to find any colors except the usual.. mine was a very rare color (anarcite gray) but I need a car.. I know the w124 fell, and i love the car, they drive nice.. but I always wanted more power.. so I was thinking about getting a 400e/e420 (e420 would be better but its so expensive and im worried about wire harness)
i can think of the replacement w124 as totally different car.. their great cars so yeah..
other than that i've been considering an e46 330, or an e36 m3 but their a bit too expensive right now and i need a car.. so maybe even e30/e34 bmw.. but how do they compare to the w124? (the e30 feels a bit too small.. but ill take one to take me from point a to b)
but yeah.. if any of you ever had w124 withdrawl, please share with me

I think an E34 535i should be a decent car. Maybe it's interior quality won't be as good as the 124 but they handle really well if the suspension is in good condition.
Also their gearbox is smoother shifting.
Your budget could not stretch to an E39? They are really beautiful cars, from the era where I believe BMW put a huge gap on Mercedes.

The top E39 I was in was a 535i V8 and that was already pretty damn fast. It was brand new at the time and I fell in love.
An E39 M5 is still a dream car of mine...
Though from what I understand the V8 BMW's were nowhere near as reliable as the I6's
