92 300E Bad/Plugged Injector?
My symptom is a bad miss throughout throttle range, and not dependant on temperature. Have replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor, OVP relay. Have checked all vacuum lines and they are good.
When I pull the boot from the spark plugs one by one with the engine running, I notice that the engine changes it's tone on all cylinders expect for 5, where it has no effect. So the problem seems to be that cylinder. I did a compression test and it was good. I know I have good spark because I see a nice arc when pulling the wire off of the plug, and my timing light lights up fine on that wire.
So I've turned my attention to the injector. Is that where my problem is? I have thought about swapping injectors between 5 and another one and see if the problem moves.
Am I on the right track?
