SLS Height Adjustment.. HELP!!
So i was driving around quite a bit with some friends in the car and some tools in the back. The ride on the highway was getting super annoying because the rear just wallows over bumps and it was seriously getting on my nerves. Given the condition of my car, i was always wondering WHY my SLS wasnt working. I checked the resivour and it was completely empty. So i get some fluid, top off the resivour, and watch.. nothing happens.. so i drive around a bit more..still nothing.
I wake up the next morning, and lo and behold.. my car is raised up in the rear. So much that i can almost stick my fist in between the fender and tire. The ride is a LOT better, but the car looks retarded with all that rake.
My Question is, is there anyway to bring the car back down and still have the firm ride with the SLS?!??!?!

there is a valve under the raer of the right side. i disconnected it from the auto sls and now just have it manuel mode. if you need to dump it you turn the valve down and it lets out the pressure. be careful it goes quick to raise it up just turn it up. hope that helps
i like doing it this way cause my accumulators are shot so mine would just ride on the hydro and the ride was way bouncy

thanks for the tip! What is this i hear about people adjusting a rod in the back or something?
The ride is actually kinda bouncy right now, but its a lot firmer than the wallowing it was doing before..
But wow does it look wierd!! i would work on it today but its raining pretty bad!!

So i adjusted the lever that controls the ride hieght and it brought it down a bit, but still not enough to my liking/where it was before..
So i adjusted it back up and it went up, then down again, and it went down. So then i did some more searching and i tried to bring it up again and it wouldnt go up. So i was confused. I go to the front of the car and see a bunch of Hydraulic fluid on the ground. Turns out that the hose the goes from the pump to the rear in the engine bay is leaking severly. I guess its better than anything in the back or the shocks themselves leaking.

(not my car but im highlighting the hose thats leaking)
If anyone has one of these hoses in good condition, or knows where i can get one for cheap, LMK!!
So my question is.. do i even bother fixing it? Will it go low enough when and if i do fix the leaking hose? Or should i just wait and see if i can remove the SLS all together some how?

if you take that rod off and just pull the lever all the way down it should release all the hydro in the shocks. also when i do mine since my springs are cut you have to make sure your springs sit back in place cause if they dont fit in the cup it will still be a little high. text me if you have any other questions 9368279515
the only problem i see it leaking is that fluid is also for power steering so i think you'll still have to fix it or cap it

i took the rod off and moved the lever completely 90 degrees down, and it was still a bit high.
I dont think the Shock Fluid and the PS fluid are the same. They have their own resivours and lines, but share the same pump.
All the fluid is out of the system now, so the car is back to being low.. i guess thats a good thing for now until i figure out what my next move is going to be...

There is a 4mm hole in the bracket and in the arm. Factory says put like 200lbs in the trunk and use a 4mm pin to line those things up. Car will sit pretty level after that should take into account any spring drop. You can also make sure that the bracket hasn't moved, sometimes they work themselves loose. If the ride is bouncy then the accumulators are shot (blatter inside torn - nitrogen in the SLS fluid), and there is always a possibility that the valve is bad.

Moving the lever around does nothing until the motor is revved or driven above 2000 rpms.
In my experience with 500Es...you can only lengthen the SLS rod about 3/4" before the system will lose its functionality.
