1990 300TE 4Matic: 4Matic Light On, Code "9"...
I have a 1990 300TE 4Matic wagon, and the 4Matic light is on with a code "9" (Got the code by doing the blink code procedure). According to the info I have found, This indicates a problem with "Hydraulic valve 2, short or open circuit". I have tested the ohm reading for for valves 1 and 2 by removing the over-voltage relay, and checking the resistance between pin 9 of that socket (Which goes back and splits to power both the #1 and #2 valves, and pins #4 and #6 of the 4Matic control unit connector.
I get roughly 6 ohms between pin #9 of the over-voltage relay and pin #4 of the 4Matic control unit connector, and the same between pin #9 of the over-voltage relay and pin #6 of the 4Matic control unit connector. Those 2 pins of the 4Matic control unit are the ones that control the #1, and #2 Hydraulic valves. Being that they both test the same, and I only have a code for valve #2, I am leaning towards a possible 4Matic control unit failure.
I am new to the forums, and hope someone has any idea of how to proceed, I just don't want to jump to conclusions and start replacing parts based on assumptions, as that can get expensive very quick! Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Edit: I have added wiring diagram pics (Small one posted), Larger version in link for easier viewing:

Hi! What happened with your 4matic? Did you solve the probs? Are you an expert on any 4matic issue now? I am looking for all kind of documentation to troubleshoot my car. Just got it and guess what, 4matic orange light ON. Yes. Do you still have the documentation you posted above?
