1991 300CE Stalling/Hesistation

Figured I would post a video. If I accelerate very slowly, the car will go. If I accelerate very quickly, the car will stall (per video). It does idle/run perfectly in Park, and always starts up on first click of key. Also, the car just passed CT emissions yesterday without any issue, so it does run clean.

Once I get the car out on the main road and fully accelerate in 3rd gear, the cars bucks with RPMs going from 1500-4000-1500, almost like an RPM cut-off. If I come to a stop too quickly, it will also stall.

The car has not been driven in years, so I think it is fuel related. Have a fresh tank of 93 in her now, with a can of good fuel injector cleaner. I have a fuel filter, air-filter, spark plugs and an OVP on order. Will order dist cap/rotor and wires next.

I took off air cleaner and shot FI cleaner into the throttle body, no big difference. I also checked all connections/hoses, and all were in good shape.

I have read all the threads, so I think I will just continue to work my way down the obvious list in order to cure this issue. I am not too upset about it, as I know the motor is tight (27k original miles) and working on cars is more fun than driving them!

I've seen a faulty temperature sensor send the wrong signal to the ecu and cause said problems. Test the resistance specs, if its not within range, the signal it sends is the same as if the engine was way overheated and the automatic safety cutoffs are set into motion.

Thanks. I will replace the sensor as well and see what happens. I do know that when the car is warm, the symptoms are alot worse.

So far, I have done the following:

OVP
Spark plugs
Wires
Rotor
Temp sensor
Coil
Air intake sensor
Fuel filter
Battery

Waiting on my distributor cap, but so far the same issue exists!
