# 3 Fuse Keeps Breaking...
Hi everybody!!
Problem: Fuse #3 (parking/tail light right, headlamp cleaning unit, illumination: license plate, instrument panel, controls) keeps breaking every time I turn on the headlights.
Anyone had this problem or might have an idea of why this is happening? I noob like me would love to know!

Ahh, Mercedes electrical gremlins. My front window fuse would blow up to 3 times a day, and I never knew why. Carried a candy case around filled with fuses.
Then one day it just... worked. :P
Double check you have the appropriate fuse amperage, and do NOT attempt to rectify the situation by adding a stronger fuse. Remove your headlight switch and take a volt meter to it, I guess.

Access the headlight switch...........
..........with a multi-meter. Check the headlight wiring from the switch to a chassis ground.........each wire, individually. If you have continuity then you have a shorted wiring harness (and, yes, check the point where the hinge is, but, if, instead, it is ONLY blowing the fuse when the headlights are switched, as opposed to blowing the fuse when the parking lights are turned on, then it would not be the trunk hinge point for the license lamps).
