new eyelids and custom paint

i bought these a loooong time ago and had them sitting in the garage. I finally got around to modding them to put them on (they are originally E36 eyelids). I'm not sure I like them yet, but i'm going to keep them for a while.

in this pic, you can see my new custom driver's side door paint:

i was on a pretty busy side street, when a guy going the other way had his wheel fly off. couldn't avoid it, there was a car right in front and right behind (we had just started moving again after stopping for a school bus) so i couldn't speed up or slam on the brakes...

not sure how bad the damage really is, hopefully it will just buff out!

Bugger! Is it only paint......?

I think they would look great on a dark colored car. I think on your car I'd be looking at tapering the line up so it finishes higher at the indicators, just a slight taper rather than straight.

Maybe someone could photo-shop......

Clean man. Agree, taper on the turn signals might look better.

Also, they look a bit strange as they don't follow the grille edge very much. Might be nice to have some more material along that edge.

I like.

When I removed the wipers from my Sportline, I noticed and liked that the horizontal lines from the front are all consistent, like a rectangle from left to right. The examples of taper (grill sides - inside of lights) are vertical.

IMO, delete the wipers and take a looksee. I think you might leave em just as they are, a squint.

But as is, take em or leave em? KEEPER!

I don't super love them in white, my man. LOVING the new racing stripe on the side though!

I think Mark's angled eyelids are more aggressive, but more aggressive does not always work on white. That's why I think you have this right.

How'd the door clean up? (White tends to clean up nice after a rough up)
