1994 Mercedes-Benz E320
Exclamation Looking to buy 1994 MB E320

Hello Everyone!
I am still looking to buy my first Mercedes, and this time I found it. It is 1994 E320, it got 184k and has some problems. The dude which sells it to me asks 1,595 American dollars, there are some cosmetic defects, and the driver seat leather is worn. Also the cruise control doesn't work, the A/C and heater doesn't blow, the steering pump looks a little oily, and it makes some noise when you start it, first five minutes, the dude said it is a fan belt. The car itself runs and drives, other than those problems everything it looking fine. I am thinking to take it to mechanic and see what he says. Although W124 is very reliable and well known for its long life, I want to hear some feedbacks from you, whether I should buy this kind of car, or just to look for more. How much will the repairs cost to me, and what to look for before I buy it. Thank you very much.

There is nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes. Pass and find a better example.

Sounds like a very worn out/unmaintained car.
Those problems would cost 3 times the prIce of the car to fix them.
And there will be other problems, guaranteed.
On e it is me maniacally sorted, it will still look old and tired.

Skip it. No, RUN away!!

For $4-5k you can find a well maintained, low miler, instead
Good hunting!

Come to the Mercedes show at the Nile Country Club in Mountlake Terrace this weekend.
