E320 Horn sounds during right hand turn
1994 E320
The horn sounds during a right hand turn! It just started happening out of the blue...
Can't find a single thing on this on the internet. It sounds like it would be a short of some kind.
I have no idea!!!

HAHAHAHAHA!
When I got my car out of the bodyshop, every time I pressed the horn, my windshield wipers would come on. Every time I used the pass/high beam, windshield wiper would come on. I give a left or right signal, wiper comes on. It was hilarious for the one night.
It does sound like a short. Take it to an electrician. It will probably be something stupid and simple!

The fuse for the auxillary fan was melted into place! It ended up breaking at the base of the fuse.
So the car will overheat without the auxillary fan since its 90 degrees outside?

Ok I did right! Just found it yesterday. It just happened! Going to have it towed to the dealership. I had turned it on and saw the temp gauge move super fast nothing like I have ever seen before so I cut the engine. I don't think its overheated so I caught it in enough time.
Why does the M103 not have an auxillary fan yet the M104 has one? I know they're different engines but why...

Check the clock spring inside the steering wheel. Also check that the horn return springs behind the airbag are in good shape. Good DIY on steering wheels here: http://www.2phast.com/500e/.
I have found that an M104 with a properly functioning cooling system (good fan clutch, good radiator, good water pump, good head gasket) will maintain the proper temperature in all but the most extreme conditions as long as the A/C is not used at all. It is only with the additional heat load from the A/C or the reduced cooling capacity from a deteriorating cooling system that causes over heating without the aux fans. Note that there are two aux fan relays - one that is controlled directly by the A/C pressure switch and one which is controlled by the climate control system to dissipate the additional heat load from A/C operation.
The rapid temp rise you describe seems more symptomatic of failure of one of the primary cooling system components as opposed to the aux fans.
