how to change shift selector knob?
This may seem like a dumb question, but I bought a fancy new zebrano wood gear knob, and it didn't come with instructions on how to install. It looks like the old one should just unscrew and the new one screw in, but I tried to unscrew the old knob (including the angled metal stalk) from the base below the selector plate, and it doesn't want to move.
I don't want to break my current selector knob by twisting it if it doesn't unscrew. Could someone please advise how to change out the old for the new gear selector knob?
