Boiling coolant?
Need some expert advice.. our old coolant reservoir tank had a leak or something so we replaced it and flushed the coolant. However, now we get this boiling noise behind the front passenger fender below the A-pillar. I've never heard of this noise before. Seems the level in the reservoir tank also went down - do I REALLY need to use MB OEM coolant or and I use some extra Prestone I have laying around?

There is an overflow tank in the area that you indicate...
Look for a hose from below your fill tank cap in the engine bay that seems to disappear into the inner fender well.
You may have overfilled the tank.
The level shouldn't be to the top.
Best to use MB coolant in a 50/50 mix with water.

Mine did the same thing today. I didn't have much fluid in the overflow tank to start with so tonight I added some distilled water to bring the level up a bit and I'll see what happens tomorrow. I couldn't find any markings on the reservoir for the proper level so I filled it about 4 inches from the bottom and marked my level with a sharpie to see what happens.
