Opinion needed on spark plugs

So I finally pulled my plugs today. It was the last thing to do on my updated maintenance list since I bought the car. The plugs that are in it are Bosch platinum plus 4. Ya know the one with the 4 ground prongs. I assume this was not oem. The platinum electrode has been used up. I am also getting carbon tracking on my wires.

So back to the topic of this post. A: get factory plugs from my parts department.
B: Get some "upgrade" plugs like what was in it.

Which have you had more success with?

I have NGK Iridium IXs. I rather like them paired with the NGK plug wire harness.

NEVER use platinum plugs in a W124 MB ! There are no performance advantages to different plugs in this vintage motor.

Use what is called for in the owners manual only. The $2 bosch or champions are all you need for the car to run its best.

Most importantly, you want a non-resistor copper core plug. The ignition system is designed for it. Bosch FD8OC, NGK BP6EF, Denso T20EPU. All are available at ClubPlug.net There are no parts sort that carry these plugs.
