500 E weird tranny problem ..
my 92 500E with 122000miles on it just did the strangest thing.,
i was driving it a half hour before with no issuses, ...i parked it , went to go start it and ..... i have no forward or reverse gears, it holds in park , but shifting into R or D , i feel nothing ., but rolls freely .
any help or advice would be great .

I recently had the "shift lever" and bushings replaced on the transmission. I was told that it wasn't going to be long before it broke and left me stuck in park as you are describing. Have a look into that.
