lowering an E320 wagon
New springs alone will lower it, but while in there...
struts, sway bars etc can and should be tightened, and once lowered any worn parts in the suspension can result in rubbing issues.
I went lower, but raised back up to ride on Sportline springs,
a slight drop, but they maintain a very MB ride.

Since I did none of this work, pardon my gaps.
1: The self leveling system allows a trick to reset level after lowering. Fairly simply, search the forums.
2: I tried springs only at first, was curious of the effect. Was okay, but then added Bilstein sport struts. Added to a fully refreshed suspension, it gives a sense of new-ride.
3: I started with H&Rs but ended with Sportline springs, have made this choice repeatedly now. Sportline springs are a tweener, not as low as we like but, great no-sacrifices ride.
So JMO, but the Sportline springs were worth switching BACK from sportier lower springs on several of my cars. (Cabriolet too)

Also, what was the ride like when lowered with the SLS? i would like to keep that if possible, especially when lowered, because i do carry people/things in my car often and i dont want it scraping lol
