Can you ID these rims?

I bought this car last month, and the right front tire kept loosing air, so I went to have it replaced (the tread was low, too). As it turns out the rims is cracked- badly. The mechanic was able to seal it but the car vibrates on the highway and I'm on borrowed time. I'm divided between sticking with the chrome or going with the alloy. You opinions are welcome (and needed)
Here's a picture:
P.S. it's the best picture I have, if needed I'll take a better one and post it tomorrow.

Never, ever, ever the chrome wheels.

Mercedes NEVER offered a chrome wheel back in the day. The chrome wheels were offered by the dealers who realised that it was a profit center for them together with undersealing, scotchgarding and all that other crap they do.

Chrome **will** pit, peel, corrode, over time. And will cause leaks.

NEVER, EVER, EVER, the chrome wheels.

ARGGGGGGHHHHHHH !
S A C R I L E G E !
FLOG THE INFIDEL !
CHROMIES ???

CHROMIES ARE FOR HOMIES !!!!!!

Chrome IMO looks cheap, nasty and "boyz in the hood".
You have a classic automobile my friend, relish the classic and quality.
A good set of alloy wheels will make your ride feel like a million dollars.

Klobbr - you poor poor soul.
I never noticed those chromies -that would have been the deal breaker for me ! Is it too late to send it back to Austin ?

Okay Klobbr, I'll tell you what I'll do for you !
I feel remorse that I was one of those who highly recommended that vehicle without paying due attention to such a major fault.
So how about you sell it too me and at least you'll get some money (not all mind you) back for all your trouble !

Mate some lovely sets of alloy come up all the time on eBay or other members in the for sale section of the forum. Keep your eyes out !

Where are you located? Your pictures do not look like California, or I would offer my stock 15" 8-holes for next to nothing. Probably not worth the $$ to ship.

I've a set of those that are peeling like a **** and need total refinishing. They're a nice look on the w124 though.

Ok. I agree these rims suck. They do look rather ghetto. And now that I know these are NOT factory I will switch to the alloys. Thank you for the replies.
Now it's time for the hard part: Where do I find the alloys?

Lol. I wasn't actually paying much attention to the wheels either. I do like the monoblock look, to me that sets the Merc apart form the rest. And I would prefer just a bit wider footprint when I look at the car from behind. Its got the wheel wells for it for sure.

I like this AMG wheel...and center caps

BTW, I have a lot of things to accomplish before I go after new wheels, but this is what I would like to put on. I think its just about right. And the centers match the badging on the car.

Anyone know where to get those center caps?

CARLSSON 16inch 1/11 FOR SALE IN CA

But now for the penultimate, there a set on the "other place" (you know where I mean) of Carlsson 16" 1/11 for sale for $595 in Sacramento !

See this is exactly what I mean by our forum needing MODEL SPECIFIC BUY/SWAP/SELL section - on here most people probably wouldn't have found them ! If you agree add your comment to my POLL Post about adding this feature !

Now these look nice (if they are genuine) !

If those are the same 1/11 I saw a few weeks ago in my friend's trunk, they are definitely genuine! And the person selling them is a member of this forum: SpinLPs. The pictures do not do them justice, they look much nicer in person.

Yeah Rivcal they are the one's Chris has. 1/11 (no of spokes).
Wish I was over there and ran 16's - think they would look great !
And bargain price if you ask me. If you happen to know the ET or could find out from Chris maybe post it on here ?

I just thought the new guys on MBWorld particularly those looking for wheels might find them desirable so I guess I been giving him some free air time ! Didn't know he was a member here also ! LOL

And at the risk of sounding repetitive, it's where MBworld lacks in not having Model Forum Buy/Swap/Sell section.
Most people are too lazy to go searching the entire DFor Sale section on here trying to find things of interest to them.
So.....again......
