E350 Coupe
CE..E sedan W124

Does anybody know if the CE coupes and the E sedans have the same wheelbase. I was doing some research and found stats that say a 300 CE coupe had a wheelbase of 106.8 inches and overall length of 183.5 in. The same MY E sedan had a listed wheelbase of 110.7 inches and an overall length of 186.6 inches. Is this correct or is it just more incorrect internet stats. Thanks!!!

The coupe is shorter...not sure of exact specs, but yours sound right.

Thank you for your replies. Now my second question...since the wheelbases are different were they both built on the W124 chassis. I have seen a C124 chassis description for the CE is it a different chassis.

It is exactly the same architecture except the changes made to make a coupe. From the frt doors forward they are exactly the same. They share almost all parts except doors and coupe related parts and the trunk lid. The driveshaft is a different length. The rear bumper and taillights are the same.

whipplem104 is correct but not clear.
They are the same from the base of the A pillar forward. The coupe has slightly more rake to its windshield as its roof is a little lower.
