Need lower engine shield

Can anyone help me locate a used/serviceable lower engine shield for my '89 300se?
The mechanic at the new local mbz repair shop told me that I was missing this piece and that replacing it would prevent any debris from finding its way to any of the hoses/wiring/tubing that is vulnerable damage from below.
The mechanic did not know the exact name or code for this part and whether it is metal or plastic.
The local mbz dealership can order it but at considerable cost and wait.

MBWorld Fanatic!
The plastic (at least on the outside and feels like it is so all the way through) engine shield on my dad's 500e was thrown out by a local oil change shop. We tried searching high & low on ebay and it turned out that getting it through the dealer was the easiest and cheapest way.

You know what, I was not even aware that there was such a part! Is there a part number or something to reference it to? Mine is definitively missing!

Comments Re Lower Engine Shield
When I priced this part out at the MB dealership the resulting paperwork identified the part as "52 - undershields, 015 engine compartment panelling."
The invoice sheet identified the part as "126-524-07-25 -- antinoise" and quoted a price of $132.60.
Sounds like it is not only designed to prevent engine damage from flying objects, but also to reduce engine noise.
I though a used one would be relatively easy to locate since there were so many of the 300s built and apparently the mechanics forget to re-install them after servicing these engines.
Any suggestions on where to find one?

Your car is a W126....silly me...You'd do better posting your question in that area of the forums...
