Lost blower motor...No fan????
I am receiving no blower fan in my 95 e320 soft top. I have now replaced the fan (which works when tested with 12V) the regulator, the 30A fuse and the CCU (used from the wrecker). I still do not receive 12v from the center red wire on the plug above the brake booster. I do have signal voltage and I can hear the CCU activate the valves to change the air direction (defronst, foot ect.)
I can hear the coolant recirculating pump run when ever the key is turned on.
What is left in this system. Do i have a short some where that is taking out my CCU ?
any help would be much appreciated!
thanks

mine was the 30A strip fuse behind the main fuse box. there is another 30A strip fuse in front of the battery. they are contained in a small black box that you open to expose the fuse (box 2.5in long 3/4in wide). check both fuses on the the late models. then check the plug above the brake booster it should have 3 wires. the first post is ground the middle is 12v and the on farthest on the drivers side is the signal wire should have be tween 3v to 9v depending on the which CC systems is engaged (defrost, high fan, low fan ect). if you do not get voltage on the plug then check the fuses again. actually unscrew them, take them out and look at them. if they are good and still not getting voltage the problem is in the CCU. if voltage is good then either the fan or the regulator is bad. test the fan by hooking it up to 12v if it runs it is the regulator.
