300CE 24
Question Zung Fu security system

I have a 1992 300CE 24 which I bought when I was living in Hong Kong some years ago. Having had problems with my battery over the past year or so I have decided that the car alarm (Authorised Security System by Zung Fu) is not helping so I want to remove it.

The problems arise because the car is only driven at the weekends and from week to week, the battery drains to a level which is too low to start the car. The security system seems to sense this low voltage and disable the ignition too.

Very frustrating! Anyone got any ideas?

You could buy a battery conditioner. It's like a battery charger but it just keeps topping up the battery when it needs it. They're popular with classic car enthusiasts who rarely drive their cars.
