ANY FORUMS MEMBERS IN GERMANY - HELP WANTED !

Hi People

I am looking for any forum members who reside in Germany who might be willing to assist their fellow forum members secure items being sold on eBay.de or from suppliers in Germany.

It would seem that many sellers as you can imagine are looking for the simple easy sale to a local market and are not even remotely interested in selling to the international marketplace.

As you can well imagine though there is a plethora of parts both OEM and after-market available over there that we cannot source (in my case from Australia and with others USA/Canada).

To be able to buy or bid on many occasions you have to have a local delivery address in Germany which I clearly don't have. I have a queue of friends in the USA that would willingly help out if I sourced parts there but none in Europe.

So I am asking if a fellow W124 enthusiast from Germany, who frequents this board, is interested in becoming a local representative over there.
I for one would willingly pay a fee for such assistance when utilised !

It would need to be someone who is prepared to accept shipments from sellers have the space to store items before on sending them to wherever they need to go !

Great example is some Zender wheels I found. I want them but cannot convince the seller to ship them ! They are rare here, reasonably priced but if you can't convince him to sell because your not over there what hope have you got !

I know there are dozens of guys also out there that would dearly love to organise this as well.

PM me if you want to remain anonymous !

Cheers and Thanks for Your Time

Interesting.

If you paid the price ahead of time, including fees, etc. I can't see the issue. Unless what is quoted is too high and you are looking for a cheaper route. i would suggest you offer a money transfer instead of paypal. Paypal doesn't always have the greatest reputation when dealing international.

Exactly but I can't even get him to reply to ebay messages which I am sending in German. You live anywhere near Nieuwald or Mühlacker per chance ?

1) He's already sold the item?
2) He's had previous experience selling across borders.
3) Cheat - set up an account on ebay.de, use a German email addy - xxx@yahoo.de, etc.

I don't recall volunteering. But to answer your location question (my location is listed under my name on the left ):

Google maps.de - 1

Google maps.de - 2

Google maps.de - 3

"I don't recall volunteering"

There's gotta be someone you know and trust who lives closer.
