Unhappy 1995 E320 Electrical Problem ?

I have a 1995 E320 Wagon. I was driving home from Home Dept when my radio starting dying out, than my blinkers weren't making that clicking noise and the dash lights came on the left side of check engine asr etc 4 dash lights. I headed for home and the car died out. I sat for a moment couple of minutes and started it up. I took off with no electrical on the car drove for about a 2 blocks turn on lights and turned the corner and the car died out again. Had it towed home. It started up to go on tow truck and to back it off. The next day I started it up dash lights that normally come on were on. I than turned on headlights and blinkers and voila the left side dash lights came on same symtoms no clicking noise from blinkers no radio turned car off. And tried to restart and it didn't. Has anybody experienced any thing like this ? Help !!

Sounds like a bad alternator or voltage regulator.

x2 on what Floobydust said...

Sounds like the same exact thing my old 190E did to me once; hopefully its the regulator which is easy and cheap enough to replace.
