Head Problems on 24V
I just recieved information about the 300E-24 having a lot of head problems with the car. Is this true ??? I am very worried about this as I am just about to buy one. I was also told the head requires constant retorqueing.

Don't worry too much.
The head problems are no worse than any other straight 6. (BMW for instance!)
Oil leaks from the rear of the headgasket are bad.
There are a lot of posts about leaky headgaskets simply because not much else goes wrong!
and no, the head does not require constant retorqueing.
Buy one and enjoy...
Buy a sportline and really enjoy.....
