Need help please Code 23

Hi all, I just bought a 1994 e320, Great car and ive been searching these forums often to help me, Since i bought the car a week ago ive put a new k&N air filter , New bosch fuel filter , New bosch copper spark plugs, New plug wires.....

But the car still feels Sluggish at times ...other times it feels like a beast and flys....So from reading here i located the onboard diagnostics and it blinked 23 times . I dont know what pin 8 or pin so and so mean my car under the hood has
a built in led and a button and it blinked 23 times .......

So my question is what should i look at to fix this ..any 1 had this problem in the past?

You've got the California diagnostics terminal, you're going to have to find the manual that deals with that specifically.

Thanks Buddy . this is what i found

http://www.w124performance.com/docs/..._W124_M104.pdf

So 23 flashes according to this guide is

Intake manifold pressure (in base module pressure sensor- B5/2) with engine
running too low/high

So what does this mean?

That is the question indeed. I'd guess (guess mind you, nothing more) that you may have an intake manifold gasket leak. I don't know how you'd go about testing/verifying that however. Should be something on the forum you can search for and get better info.

im thinking check it like you would a tire leak spray some water around seal and bolts and look 4 bubbles, IDK....

I really want to bring this car to life then get some pics up. But before i upgrade cosmeticly i want to make sure the engine is running good.

Thanks for your help Saijin_Naib

So after some research im guessing its the Map sensor or the voltage going to it. or the vaccum line leading from it

so i figure ide post my results to help others in the future after 1 mechanic told me it was my EGR causing the code 23....And tons of others suggesting a vacuum leak ......
I replaced the egr cost 250$ did it myself, Mechanic wanted 500$....Did not fix problem ...

Brought it to my friends mechanic ended up being simple easy Map sensor

100$ part code is gone .....

Now after trying egr tube clean and replacing egr valve car starts and stalls 10 seconds later ...if i gas it when it wants to stall car stays running and works fine until next restart it wants to stall again ....any ideas?

Thanks for your help Saijin_Naib

I would recommend spraying around the manifold with brake cleaner or carb cleaner
