How many rpm's should the engine rev at when driving on the highway 60 mph ?

Was it necessary to bump it 12 minutes after posting?

It should be roughly "half" of what your spedometer says. So, if you're doing 60mph on a flat highway, look to see about 3k RPM.

if you can tell us what engine / tranny you have it would help.

I assume you have an M103 4 speed auto, if thats right the car should do 2700 - 3000 rpm for 60 miles an hour on a flat surface.
rpm will also depend on the ratio of your rear differential which i beleive should be 3.07
