E320 not starting when hot

E320 not starting when hot
Need some help please. 94 e320
Starts just fine when cold. Restarting after s trip, will not start until cooled off for 30-40 min.
Just replaced CPS last week and it was starting hot and cold.
It started not starting when hot again. Replaced with original Bosch.

Any input would be appreciated.

could the CPS have gotten damaged?

when cranking, I smell gas, but no visible leaks. Car has new plugs, fuel filter, and CPS. Had a recent head gasket replacement. Checked EGR and it's clean. Runs great once it starts. Should I change the OVP relay?
Strange thing is that it operated normal for about a week and started to act up again.
