Okay so I bought a pair of HELLA euro lights from 2phast a while back, but the w124 i had those lights with are wrecked, but i was able to save the right side, and i have another w124, with pre-facelift lights so i was going to update it!

i found a Bosch US headlight, for the left side, but i didn't notice the little slant..

am i going to have fitment issues since one is square, and one is curved in the edge? am i going to need a new hood/grill?

can i just change the Bosch US headlight with a HELLA euro squareish one?

I would hazard a guess and say there shouldn't be any problem.
The proviso of course would be if there is a headlight surround fitted and the basic size and shape had altered.
But from what I have read they are the same size just different globes/reflectors inside.
The slant is in the glass shape and doesn;t appear to be in the "overall dimensions".

 

It fits no problem...the housing units are the same sizes and the lens are interchangeable.

It'll just look odd on a an early car...but works fine otherwise.

 

Throw some eyelids on that puppy to fill the gap!
