Crash shutoff switch reset?

I was in a front end collision on my 1991 300E. Engine seems ok. Radiator, A/C/ condenser, grill, headlights, hood, and one fender were damaged. I want to repair it and get it going again. I have removed all of the damaged components, including the fans and radiator. However, the engine will not start/crank. The starter does not seem to engage.

Is there a crash sensor that shuts off the engine? The moment I crashed, the engine stopped, so I assume it was shut off by this sensor. How do I find it and reset it?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

The torque converter just stalled. No crash fuel cutoff feature AFAIK.

Same thing as a spin-out ending in reverse..dont ask.

Ok thanks. So any idea why the starter will not engage? It is as if it is not getting any power when I turn the key all the way.

Stuck solenoid? Whack it with something n see if it does anything different afterward, used to work in the good ol days.

I can't say what got shuffled in the accident. Do the rear wheels turn free?
