Name these Brake Calipers, please!!!

Found a suprise while i was going to pop in some new brake pads today! 4 Piston fronts and 2 piston rears made by ATE, still has Mercedes stamping. Obviously, i bought the wrong pads so they were returned. I have an inkling as to what they are but would like your opinions so i can actually change my pads, lol

BTW, these are on a 93' 300TE (3.2) that was supposedly owned by an old man....

They look a whole lot like the set that was on my '93 400E.

these are regular 4 piston front 2 piston rear calipers mostly found on face-lifted w124, 300CE-24, early w124 500E, r129 SL

look for late w124 500E or r129 SL600 calipers.. those are Brembos....

Ok... Cross referenced and the 93' sl and 93 400e run the same front pads as far as I can tell so that sounds like a hit to me...

They're not Brembos (the caliper clearly says ATE,) but otherwise this is spot on.

Brembos were installed on early 500Es but they didn't hold up well enough.

As I recall, they were basically Porsche brakes, but the 124.036 weighs a lot more than a 911.

FWIW, the late E500/ SL600 brakes still use the same brake pads as earlier cars with smaller calipers and rotors...

Get some 'Akebono' pads...they are excellent IMO; good bite, very low dust and kind price.

Awesome, 400E Pads did the trick... Now I just need a rear rotor since the previous owner must have forgotten he had 400E calipers and replaced 1 rotor with a 300E version also need to figure out how to compress that caliper piston because it is jammed all the way out!
