300TE
Jem thanks for sharing your 300te experience with us. Its great to hear from other 300te owners from around the world. Like a lot of other mercedes owners I think it is a superbly engineered car but it is discomforting when you have to replace bits that a worn after 200k Kms when in other cars never have to be replaced for the whole life of the car. From your experience when the oil indicator light comes on the dash board, how early is that warning. What I mean is that an indication that it needs a small top up or it has used a lot of oil since the last time it lit up....Like you said its a great motorcar but its hard sometimes justifying the high repair bills...

Smile My 300te is Fixed

Hi all, I just wanted anybody who reads this thread that My sons car a 1991 300te wagon with 151,000 miles had the poor starting and rough idle symptoms too. I also had my local shop give the car a complete tune up with no luck. They said the car was old and it seemed to be fuel related. Then I used Google to lead me to this great site. Sure enough it was that 1.00 fuse located behind the battery. Car runs and starts great. Greg in Oz you Rock! Thank You all for the help.
