w210 e55 into a w124

So, here is my question, there is a slavage salt water damaged e55 near me.. Id really love to have the amg rims on my w124 and hopefully the disc and the rotors to.. But i dont know if they will fit.. I know the r129 sl500 and sl600's fit into a 124.. But the resaon why i dont want to go that route is simply because the e55 is a bigger faster and heavier car, plus like i said its near my house( if i do buy the car i can have it shipped to my house or a storage facility near my house so that i can pull of the parts i need) the other things is how do i clean or wash the salt water from the leather, and interior trim aswell as the engine bay?

Unfortunately I think something that has been for a swim in saltwater is doomed.
At some stage or another a smell will start to emit from porous materials such a seat cushioning, carpets etc.
The brakes may be okay short term but long term is a questions mark so is it worth the effort ?

The salt is especially majorly corrosive to aluminum parts.

Rims; they can be stripped and refinished....but in doing that is it worth it vs. just buying a good used set ? It'll cost a good $500 to refinish a set of 4 rims. Nice sets of 4 OE Monoblocks with tires can be had for 1000-1500$.

Brake calipers; you'd have to taken them all apart to clean and put in new seals I bet....but if the corrosion has started/pitted the metal then toss them. Rotors; buy new....but you'd have to change a few things to make the calipers and rotors work on the W124s.

Too bad to hear of another rare ride lost .. Was this a Sandy victim?
