You are going to want the W124 back as soon as you wake up from passing out from seeing the first repair bill for that S-class.
Great color tho ! Enjoy the ride

Fortunately I know the particular car very well and the airmatic and cluster issues and brakes have already been dealt with and it only has 80k on it. PS I was spending 2k a year on maintenance alone on the W124...they are certainly no saints on our pocketbooks. Also, the feel and quality of the interior of the W124 is no match anymore unfortunately

Looks nice Mark.
Love those LM5's !! Those would look good on a 124, but better on the S.
You don't see many - and nice colour, glad it's not Brilliant Silver.
Did you happen to hook up with Omega Benz in Stockton or Frisco??

I gotta agree with you there - the driving light led look like some "Asian Hoon Mod gone wrong" (apologies to those of Asian origin)
Audi, MB and others incorporate them and YES they just look totally out of sorts with the car. Wrong Wrong Wrong
Surprised they don;t do them in red with Night Rider rotation through the bulbs.

Those are the W212 Mercedes LED's inverted to fit the openings properly. It was either that or maybe cut the openings larger and incorporate straight across LEDs like the W212 E63 or your CLS style LEDs. Nothing wrong with a little differentiation if you use good parts, IMO....that's what I did with my W124 and everyone on this forum loves it.

It does look different, but I don't really agree that it looks silly.. It is a matter of taste, surely. But taken the shape of the holes in consideration, it would really look silly mounting these 212 led's the correct way!
I have played with the idea of inverting these 212 led's myself on my 124, but I went for a straight type instead after I got my hands on a frontspoiler with straight holes.

Everything's left...haven't started the part out. JulianMartell, where you located? The bumper is fantastic but shipping will cost...
Will take pics and create a comprehensive list once I begin the part out. These are top dollar, high quality parts, so lowballing, while it seems fun, will be ignored.
Here's my baby being taken to the chop shop
(insurance and registration expired, hence flatbed)

That car, and you, have left a lasting impression on many thousands of 124 owners. Was a good run and I for one appreciate the time you spent poking and sharing within the 124 community.
And we are all looking forward to the big break. It may take years of small roles, but you're destined for more than bit parts.
Kind of glad someone bought her whole, myself. Maybe I can finally stop lusting after those wheels.

the only feeling worse than selling it would have been parting it... like RHW said that car made a huge impression on a lot of people, not just here but basically everyone googling for 'w124' images.
good luck with the new car, and especially the career, and stop back in here once in a while!

We'll miss ya Mark, hope all goes well with your career. It's amazing how many haters you had here for both your car and career but I would have to say all those folks were just jealous.
Hoping to see the new owner on here as well.
Cheers!
