300E Fog Light Issues
Hello MBWorld,
I have an issue with my friends 1990 300E base model.
If the car is turned off, I can turn the fog lights normally.
The problem lies where you turn the key to accessory or ignition, the fog lights do not turn on, even if I leave the switch on when I turn the key.
All fuses are good but there is something interesting. The fuse that would normally be for fog lights has be crossed out on the fuse box label and wrote on the fuse that controls the headlights. (they are usually separate)
Is it possible that there was a recall or a wave of people rewiring the fuse for W124 fog lights? I've looked at some wiring and I'm having trouble finding what they could have done. Any insight would be very helpful.
This isn't a huge issue, but I would like to drive with those nice yellow fog lights on.
I'll see if I can get a picture of the fuse box up.
Thank you in advance,
