Heater Hose Y left rear of engine

I just had to replace my heater hose (1993 300e 2.8) and the y pipe between the heater hose and the heater core is very brittle. Any ideas where the end of the small pipe off the Y attaches?

Update: The entire Y fitting was super brittle, and the Dealer did not have one in stock but could get one from the warehouse for about 80 bucks. I went to the hardware store and bought a brass T fitting and a couple of 3/4 barbed fittings and one 3/8 fitting. Made my own and it will probably outlive the factory replacement. Cost about 30 bucks. No leaks and no problem.

The Heater Hose is molded and is 3/4 inch. I used a 1/2" Tee and two-3/4" barb fittings, and one 3/8" barb fitting. Use some Teflon tape when threading the parts together. Then you will need a piece of 3/4" heater hose about 4 inches long to make the connection to the heater core. You will need a couple of hose clamps to put it all together. I promise it will outlast the rest of the car.
