500e Daily Driver
Gang,
I am considering a 500E as my daily car. They seem to be bullet proof. Anybody use a 500E daily? Also, I had a 95' 500SL and the steering was terrible. I hear all these great things about the 500E's steering feel. I am assuming it doesn't have the same re-circulating ball steering as the old SL?
Lastly, is there a good form for the 500E besides 500eboard?

I have been using my 500E as a DD for nearly 4 years now. Every now and then something will pop up that will take the car off the road for a month or so, but it's usually just because I like to do the work myself, which means finding time to do it. I probably could not afford to own the car if I didn't perform my own repairs. The gas mileage is a bit depressing, but worth it to have the power/tank-like feel of the 500. The plus side of this is that any time I use my wagon or a friend's car for longer road-trips, I feel like gas is almost free since I'm used to getting 1/3 the gas mileage of anyone else.

I also DD a 500e, about 100 miles per day on interstate. Great car all around and very solid feeling. Gas mileage is the only downfall, as at 75mph, motor is at about 3k rpms.
